Should I continue or start over?
My current main is a Monk. I've maxed about 2-3 titles so far that were pretty much cake. I've started getting into vanquishing now and have a really difficult time as my computer sucks completely and the first two or three battles usually have me endure intense lag to a point where I run in, freeze, come back dead.
My question is should I just work on a new main? My heroes are pretty awesome so starting over would be pretty easy I guess. The main purpose of my monk was just to 55 farm to make some money. When I get to my EoTN titles wouldn't it be better to max them on a char other than a healer? Just wanted to get another opinion on this. |

As Quaker said, no one can tell you what you should do, they just tell you what they would do in the situation.
I personally like keeping the mains down to a minimum, but stay as only healer/farmer is bad imo. I would make a new character, and stay at 2 mains. I prefer Necromancer, Ranger, Assassin, Ritualist, so you can give those a try (Necromancers are the most versatile of all classes, so that would be a good profession to try out). |

I'm debating whether going with a Derv, Ranger, Mesmer or Necro. I'm kinda shifting away from Derv as it doesn't really appeal to me and from experience on my monk, they can't really tank and take quite a beating. A nec would be pretty sweet since it'd give me another spot for another hero. Ranger or Mesmer I've really never tried. I've only played an anti-caster mesmer for pvp chars. |

I wouldn't delete him, after all you invested time into him. I also think you have the wrong impression on heroes, the stats, lvl, weapons don't transfer. They are local to every individual character. Personally i would just make a new main (one that you might have FUN with and maybe farm UW, FoW, DoA, which are usually the most fun to farm.. |

It can be fun to try a different profession. I played a warrior as my main for a long time before trying a necro and I love using her. If can give you a different perspective of the game.

everyone plays the game differently.... I have no 'main' character, however; I do have 14 characters that I play regularly---one of every prof except 'sin...cant quite get the hang of that....many of them have titles (heck they all do I think now---) and some are working on more while others are trying to get skills (ok, plat for skills) or armor in the great eye of the grind north....
depends on what you want to do, personally I cant play just one character for long before I get bored and want to make new ones...though many of my new ones are mules .....I enjoy character creation so thats what I do--make new characters. Some people like to pvp, others like to pve....its what YOU like to do/want to do that matters...not what anyone on this forum (or any other forum for that matter)..says.

As someone whose pet character is a Monk - EotN titles can be very useful for the healer. You might not use the PvE skills, but within EotN, they're pretty handy - just as Lightbringer is a handy title to have. +hp is always good when you're the squishy little monk who tastes good with ketchup, and I'm sure you don't have any complaints about the +e from Asuran. So if you're worried about utility of EotN titles on a healer - well, they have uses too.
That being said, if you're getting bored playing a Monk - go play something else. It's not fun to title grind, and if you're having trouble playing due to lag on your monk (I endured 30k ping in Sebelkeh everytime someone killed the Blasphemy on my old computer), and you honestly think you'll enjoy playing another class as your main, go for it. I have all three campaigns completed on my two mains, and when I get fed up of playing a monk, I go on my ele and burn things. That's another alternative you can explore - getting titles on one, but keeping in touch with another so you can switch between them. Also, as people have said, playing a different profession can really give you a different perspective - I learnt how to target properly while playing my ele, and playing a monk first taught me exactly what to do when you're a squishy target. |

Try another character for a while, and if you don't like it go back to the old one. It's really up to you and how you like to play.

I have only one main, which is my Ranger. I enjoy playing other characters but my ranger is where Ill always stay. If I get bored with my other characters, Ill go on my ranger. If I get bored on my ranger then Ill take a day off from Gw.
I play archers in every game I've ever played. And I'm terribly limited from that. I can only see this wonderful world from the eyes of an arrow. Thats why I've made it my goal to give my archer a break and spread my wings to different classes and see guild wars from a whole different facet.
